HireFlows was created, almost accidentally, from a side project that looked to expand and integrate a recently acquired chatbot company into our main core product, HV Core. As we realized and evangelized the hidden potential of the integration, this side project grew into a company-wide initiative that would capitalize on current functionality to create an improved and seamless end-to-end recruiting experience.
Partnering with PMs and Researchers, I identified the everyday use cases for how customers wanted to use the feature. I worked with Engineering to understand technical constraints. At first glance, this was an unfinished failed project, but there was a twist in what made this project successful.
Strategic direction and designs for an all-in-one HR platform targeting small and medium-sized businesses. Led projects related to Hiring candidates, tracking Time Off, Payroll integrations, and more. Helped increase revenue past $1M/ARR and growing.
Partnering with PMs, I identified the pain points, devised a handful of solutions, conducted research and testing with eventual users to select the right approach, and evangelized that with the engineering team. I found that open positions typically get between 50 - 200 applications per week. We saved Hiring Managers an average of 5 hours each week.
Only 20% of employees were completing a mandatory step while onboarding. As the lead UX Designer on the project, our team improved the process to increase the conversion rate by 70%.
